S&S Precision’s business webshop was running on an older version of Magento 1. Magento 1 had many security vulnerabilities and there were many releases for security patch updates for older Magento 1 versions. It was necessary to install and apply those security patches so that store stays secure and there are no data leaks or loss of business if any type of malicious attack is done on the website.
With each installation and setup of a security patch, it was required to check the website is in working condition without any conflict or issue and their online sales are not affected.
The layout and design of the website were outdated and very old which was resulting in a low conversation rate on the website.
The checkout page was not fully optimized to provide customers with the best shopping experience.
The business had many extensions and customizations done in Catalog pages and personalized Contact pages.
The company had to make the decision to make the website secure and updated for uninterrupted sales from the online store and improve the store checkout process for better customer shopping experiences.

Our Solution

Icecube Digital team suggested upgrading the current Magento 1 store to the latest version of Magento 2 to overcome the security vulnerabilities of the previous version and make the website more effective with help of the robust and increased performance of Magento 2.
With the migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2, we resolved inconsistencies between all the Sales and Catalog data with a customized solution so all previous Orders are accessible for business and existing customers both. Also, we made sure that all the previous URLs are forwarded or redirected to the correct pages on the new webshop.
We changed the website design and layout according to current trends with mobile-friendly creativity for a better user experience.
With the setup of our in-house developed extension – Mageice One Step Checkout, we improved the customer shopping experience. The extension is also compatible with their 3rd party payment solution.
Another customized solution is developed so selected Category pages show sub-categories along with featured products dynamically for ease of customer reach.
A custom Contact form is created by our Magento 2 developers so that customers can submit queries related to the specific categories or products to their respective departments.
